I have finally decided to allow new user registration once again, with new restrictions in place to hopefully keep spammers who slip through the existing safeguards from causing too much trouble.

The new restrictions are applied to the post-count based member group all new users are placed in when they first register, and are as follows:

• Cannot view other users' profiles
• Cannot send PMs
• Cannot post attachments
• Can view the image ...... Read More

In light of an email I received from a member about a malicious PM she received from one of the recent spammer accounts before I banned the account, I have temporarily disabled account registration on this site. This will not interfere with existing users, or with accessed to the download section.

Once I have implemented additional security features to deal with these spam accounts, I will open up account registration once more.
