The following is a listing of various useful console commands for Oblivion. Note that the syntax is similar to that used for Morrowind (some of the commands are identical), but some of the commands are just different enough to make Morrowind scripts not work in Oblivion.

To avoid clogging up the forums, no other threads containing lists of console cheats will be allowed. Any other such threads will be removed, though any new valid information will be added to this one.

** Note: The commands & cheats in this thread will only work with PC version of Oblivion, as it is the only version with a console. As I am a PC user, I will not be able to help much with the Xbox 360 version (other users may, however).

Adding Items to Inventory: player.additem [Item ID] [Quantity]
The command to do this is similar to Morrowind, but there are some notable changes. The most significant change is that the ID given to an object in the construction set will not work for this. There is another ID that must be used. The most useful ones are listed below.

List of Item IDs:
  • Gold - 0000000F
  • Lockpick - 0000000A
  • Repair Hammer - 0000000C

Other Commands:
  • showracemenu - change your race (or adjust your character's face & hair)
  • showclassmenu - change your class
  • sexchange - change your character's sex
  • player.setcrimegold 0 - remove bounty
  • modpcs [skill] [amt] - modify indicated skill by indicated amount
  • modpca [attribute] [amt] - modify indicated attribute by specified amount
  • resurrect - resurrects selected NPC/creature (must click on target with console open first)
  • kill - kill selected NPC/creature (must click on target with console open first); if no target selected, your character is killed
  • unlock - unlock selected door (must click on target with console open first)
  • movetoqt - move to quest target
  • advlevel - show advance level screen
  • tcl - toggle collision
  • tm - toggle menus
  • tgm - toggle God Mode
